the inn is full!

every bedroom, every floor space, every couch, is FULL! the littlejohn inn is full!!

well, it's no longer full, but the last few days we had 9 children and 7 adults in our little casa. it was a total. total! blast! i love having a full house, a full dining room table, full bathrooms, and the great feeling of laying down at night and sighing knowing every bed, floor space, and couch is full!

i grew up in a full house. not only did the seven us of occupy a lot of space, but inevitably there was always more people around, hanging out. my mom danced the danced of amazing hospitality. it didn't have to be perfect, or out of this world delicious. mom made it neat, warm, and FUN! b/c i had the great blessing and joy of watching her run a house with a revolving door, it made housing sixteen a totally natural thing for me.

mark's cousin, Tommy, and his wife Helen, and their five adorable chunky monkeys came and stayed with us. along with Larry and Jere'.  and cousin Amy came down from Baltimore. the nine children completely entertained themselves outside and downstairs, while the rest of us cooked together, talked together, and i watched helen crochet.. ( i couldn't thread a needle if i tried!)  we had a birthday party for the baby anna, (and jere' too)! it was a joy. such a joy to all be together. we did snag some pictures before everyone had to go home.

now, as my friend annie said, "it's time to put my game face on for recital weekend!!"
